Best Tugs

Overall, very happy with the tug itself. Works great and easily handles my SR22. Unfortunately, I’m not as pleased with the company’s support or backing for their new batteries. I received my A3 tug a year ago, watched the videos and followed their manual to the letter. I use my tug about 5-6 times a month (I never run it down … only 60 feet push/pull), leave it on the smart charger between uses, and in a climate controlled area. The first indication of a problem came at 8 months when the batteries died halfway thru push. From that day on, it seemed to get sluggish as I was completing my push into the hangar. By January (1 year mark), it wouldn’t even make it out of the hangar. As you can see, Best Tugs recommend replacing by the three year mark (the Bright Way label even says 3-5 years).

• I reached out about a year ago to Best Tugs and spoke with Paxton about what I was looking for to move my Pilatus PC-12. Paxton was very helpful and before long, I had a R12 tug on the way to Denver. Unfortunately, I had some problems with the plug-in for the tug and tried to mess with it on and off for months before finally reaching out to the Support team at Best Tugs for help. • I immediately received a response from Jose D. in support. I explained what I was experiencing and what I thought the problem may be. I then sent Jose a couple of pictures of the charger and the plug. Immediately, Jose responded and said he would send me both parts and for me to just send him back whichever one I didn’t use. • Jose was friendly, fast, and helped me with my problem on the first contact.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Best Tugs is a great company making impressively well made American products. I bought a Bravo 5 tug and I'm very happy and satisfied with the purchase. Sure, they may be priced higher than others but one will quickly recognize the engineering excellence and craftsmanship that went into these products. Quoting the Oracle of Omaha who once said, "price is what you pay; value is what you get." One can immediately observe this fact by pricing out a used one for sale online somewhere...if you can even find one. Ha! The Patey's know how to make things, really, really well.

I have owned a Bravo model (Best Tugs) for 3 years for my TBM. I have not had any issues, and I have been extremely happy with it. I needed a second tug for my vacation home, so I bought a Romeo for my other hanger. Paxton helped me in going over the different style of tugs and options, and which would best be suited for what I need. We planned on shipping it but I was too eager to wait for the shipping, so I chose to fly out to pick it up myself. I was met by the owners of Best Tugs at the Provo airport on a Sunday morning to go over the operation and help load it in the plane. Before I bought my first (Best Tugs) I bought a different remote-control tug that almost tore my nose gear up. As long as the Best Tugs units are built to this quality, I would not consider buying anything else

The name says it all, they truly are the BEST in the business. I have 2 different model tugs and they are both oustanding.
