Bery Dominican Doobie

I found this hair salon by chance (God sent) one Saturday Morning on Google. My hair was shedding as I'm a natural curly girly and had just taken off braids. Well, well I've been back every week since then. I wash and condition, sit under the hood and just blow dry my roots. My hair feels so much better! The owner, Bery is so nice and upbeat always asking the customers if they want coffee or wine. I recommend it 100%. All the girls work fast and do a great job. The prices are pretty good compared to other places in the area that try to rip you off. There's free parking on the side streets and metered parking on Bloomfield Ave. Also, the salon opens on Sundays which is rare these days. Update: Dec 17, 2025 The salon just received the Best of 2025 Beauty Salon in Montclair, NJ. (See pics)

I’m so glad I stumbled upon this salon, especially because they’re open on Sundays! I came in for a doobie (wash and set), and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Bery & her staff provides exceptional customer service from start to finish. They’re incredibly accommodating and make you feel right at home. I was greeted warmly and even offered coffee, tea, and delicious scones while I waited. My hair came out silky, bouncy, and beautifully styled. You can tell they take pride in their work. If you’re looking for a salon that delivers quality results and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, this is definitely the place. I’ll absolutely be returning!

I went to this salon after a very long time working in this area and I regret not finding them before, I went to get a haircut and I was impressed for their greeting to me by the crew and the way she washed and cut my hair I loved it, my hair looks healthier than before. This is the brst doobie spot for 4C natural hair. They give the perfect blow oit where your hair still has body and bounce. The have a really good steaming machine too and they serve dominican coffee to all guests. The women working there are just lovely.

I’ve been coming to this shop for four years. Very professional establishment and my hair is growing so well. The owner also sells very good hair products package for an affordable price that actually really works wonders. The entire staff is very nice professional and friendly to everyone. Even offer you coffee as well you will not be disappointed!
