Beautiful Cuts

I was in the city on a whim and finally decided to go for the perm I’d been wanting, so I called Beautiful Cuts after checking out their website, reviews and Instagram page. I called to make a last minute appointment and Dana graciously invited me to come in so she could assess my hair and recommend the best option for my thick, straight Japanese hair. I was looking for volume with defined curls, and she suggested an airwave perm, which ended up being the perfect choice. I was given a wonderful shampoo and conditioning by a kind employee. Following the wash, Dana gave me a quick trim to add some layers and remove bulk from my one-length cut, and then really got to work. About 2.5 hours later, I walked out of the salon with beautiful, bouncy curls that looked just like the reference photos

Dana was absolutely wonderful! My daughter had a pic and she cut and styled her hair to perfection. My other daughter saw what a beautiful job she did and got her hair cut and styled the same day! Would definitely recommend

I’m honestly disappointed with this haircut. I showed the stylist a reference photo and clearly explained the length and layers I was going for, but the final result didn’t match what we discussed. The layers aren’t well blended, and parts of the cut feel uneven. After I got home and styled it myself, I noticed several details that weren’t properly finished. For the price, I expected a much more polished and precise result. I hope the salon pays closer attention to technique and overall quality moving forward.

I am extremely disappointed and frankly angry about my experience at this place. Paid over $90 for what can only be described as one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received in life. The stylist spent less than 10 minutes on my hair - and even during that brief time, she didn’t look at me once. Instead, she was chatting with her colleague throughout the entire cut, treating me as if I wasn’t even there. The results speak to this complete lack of attention: the bottom is visibly uneven, and despite my explicit instruction NOT to texturize my hair, it was heavily over-texturized. She clearly wasn’t listening to a word I said. For $90+, I expected professionalism, attention to detail, and basic respect as a customer. What I got was a rushed, careless hack job that I now need to pay someone

I asked Dana to make me look like one photo, and... 😆👍🏻 I have very fine hair, so I was a bit worried about getting a perm. But she took great care to make sure it didn’t get too damaged. I'm really happy with how it turned out! Highly recommend! 💇‍♀️✨
