When I'm in long Beach, this is the nail place I go to. Everyone who works on me is great. They do a good job.
You get a what you pay for, and I would have been better off doing my own pedicure for free at home. The $24 basic pedicure was basically a foot wash and a polish change. The they put the bare minimum of effort into shaping and exfoliating. Also the manager of the shop walked around berating and complaining about a customer who came back to have an issue corrected. Please note: There appeared to be regulars on either side of me who were being pampered like absolute queens, so perhaps my sub-par experience is because I wasn't a regular.
I chose this place as I am new to the area and decided to give it a try. I paid for my treatment and had to ask for my change. The owner who did my nails rudely argued that he should keep my change as his tip. I understand that tipping is customary but the manner of this man was offensive and he really needs to rethink his attitude towards his customers. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment and certainly will not be repeating this experience of being humiliated in front of other customers by simply questioning why I wasn’t given my change.
The problem is the polish in pedicures wears off very quickly. They are busy, in a convenient location, and often rushed. They used one coat of polish and then a quick dry coat. I imagine it is a different experience if you are a regular and use the same person. I have gone three times as a walk-in with a different provider each time. Last time, I got the spa pedicure which is about 1/3 more expensive, and the same thing happened. Won't be going back.
I don’t recommend this place. Made an appointment for Sat 5:30. Was happy they got me in immediately. However, the gel mani/pedi was poor quality. The quickest set I’ve ever experienced, due to cutting corners. They don’t soften cuticles before trim, she hardly exfoliated my foot or massaged. She was rushing the job, and that sucks. Won’t go back.
