Beach Bum Tanning

I went to Beach Bum Tanning for a session and asked for tanning goggles, which should be provided as part of the service anyway. The staff told me the goggles cost $1.60, so I pulled out two dollars to pay. Then, the manager informed me they couldn’t accept it unless I had exact change. I told them to keep the change, but the manager insisted she couldn’t overcharge me. The entire exchange was unnecessary and made the experience unpleasant. Unfortunately, this is the closest tanning place to my home, but the manager really needs to calm down—it’s not that serious. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience.

I have to say, every time I walk in the girls are super professional for what I will call “young kids.” They are never on their phones, the rooms are always clean, and they are always super attentive. I try to tip when I have the extra cash. That said, it’s Black Friday and I just had an exceptional experience. Being in the industry, I recognize BF is an extremely busy day. Bit of course, Beach Bum has a pretty amazing deal today so I called to take advantage of it. Well. Madison answered the phone. It was clearly busy and she had her hands full. She asked if she could put me on hold and then proceeded to help a client who just walked in. That took a little longer than expected because of course the client didn’t just want to tan but also wanted to take advantage of the awesome BF deal. A

I called ahead of time and was accommodated for a very quick and last-minute appointment. The staff was friendly and helpful. Upon my arrival. I was asked to fill out intake paperwork because I have never been at the salon before she asked me a couple questions about what I wanted and because I am new to spray tanning, the staff answered my questions quickly and efficiently. I was able to get in very quickly in the process to approximately a total of 10 minutes. The facility is very open and clean and I will be going back to them for future appointments.

My name is Jessica and I have to shout out Brin at the east brunswick location!! She is one of the kindest welcoming person iv come across working. I love that so sweet. She’s very informative she knew what she was talking about! The place is huge and beautifully clean. I tanned once on the second level and wow !! Thank you brinn!!! I’ve never been tanning before but I need to for my wedding. My friend recommended beach bum and I called ahead for questions. Aida was so helpful and upbeat, and walked me through the whole process. It is pricy but the bed was clean and the customer service unmatched. I probably won’t always go tanning, but so far it is amazing here!
