I can’t say enough about Basin Salon. As a local resident for 30 + years and having tried dozens of salons throughout the years Basin Salon is by far the best salon I have ever visited! Richard - the owner - is a talented and very experienced color technician. He is a master of the chemical science associated with color mixing and application which so many hair stylists lack. He assesses the client’s hair texture, eye color and skin tone to recommend the most flattering shades. The salon setting is serene and picturesque fronting a beautiful marina!

Richard is one of the most talented hairstylists and colorists I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting. I just moved down here from New York City and Richard is by far away so much better than any of the experiences I have had at the 5th Avenue Salons in Manhattan. He is both lovely and charming with an exceptional eye for color, cut and style. He is an incredible artist and gentleman and Lauderdale-by-the-sea is incredibly lucky to have him. Richard is an extraordinary hair stylist. I need to fly to LBTS just to have him cut my hair. While on vacation, I walked in & asked him if he could do anything with my hair.
