This guy Joe's arrogance is HORRIBLE. Tried this place many times and walk out each time annoyed just due to his commentary. No respect for clients of any age. Makes inappropriate comments as he laughs at himself. Humiliates children, and makes a mockery of them. He is all about making podcasts and being an influencer. Terrible customer service, doesn't care how you walk out feeling as long as he laughs. A disgrace for a business owner and even more disgusting that he has to pick on kids. Must have been bullied his whole childhood to be so cruel. He profits at your expense. Many talented barbers on LI and especially Massapequa, not worth the bullying to go here. I decided to come here after reading about their services on their website. This place is a gem! Joe, the owner is a master artist. I have never seen anyone put so much love into a haircut and shave as I have witnessed with Joe. He truly loves what he does and cares about ever detail in your experience. So many extra things that he does during your experience really need to be written about and included on the shop's website. When he shaves a client, he massages the face. He uses several techniques to help relax and rejuvenate the skin. I felt relaxed just watching him. His skill with a razor deserves an Olympic gold medal. First off, barberchops is an amazing place to get your hair cut. Especially by Azim. He takes time and effort into haircuts, and with the younger audience, he makes friends and makes it a safe place in the chair. I highly recommend this place.

This is the BEST barber shop ever!!! I drive 20 minutes every few week to get my sons hair cut here. We’ve tried so many barbers in the last few years and this place by far is in a league of its own!! Joe is so talented and can execute the most unique designs that will leave your child looking and feeling like the coolest kid around!! Whether you’re getting a basic cut or you decide to kick it up a notch with one of Joe’s specialties…this place is THE BEST!! And spotless too!! recently tried this barbershop since my regular barber was on vacation. Before I even sat down, I explained exactly how I wanted my haircut, step by step. The barber nodded and said, “No problem.” Unfortunately, it was clear he either didn’t understand or didn’t listen. Fifteen minutes later, he handed me the mirror, and none of the things I had specifically asked for were done — and my hair wasn’t even trimmed evenly. On top of being unhappy the haircut, they don’t even accept tap or electronic payments. I was forced to use their in-house ATM, which charged me an extra $3 fee. Overall, very disappointed with the experience and will not be returning.
