Awa's Hair Braiding

They braid WAY TOO TIGHT. This is how my scalp looks after 4 days. My scalp is still sore and I’m in so much pain. I’ve been getting my hair braided my whole life. My scalp has never felt this way. I pray my hair doesn’t fall out. Stay clear.

First, the service was not 4 hours as promoted and the main reason I went to the shop. It took 6 hours, I didn’t start being served until about 15 mins after arrival (I was on time). Along with false advertising that I would receive a trim with my wash; I wouldn’t have booked an already overpriced service ($50) if I knew I wouldn’t get all the listed details. While she did wash and blow dry, my hair was still damp - luckily it dried as she sat me for about 15 mins more before returning to my head. She didn’t ask if I wanted a middle / side part until a part was already created and when I said middle she huffed and asked hm if it was in the middle. It was not and made me uncomfortable that she’s came across like my request was a problem. She did nothing to remedy the part to make it more ce

I got a crochet hairstyle. On the positive side, I asked that my hair not be braided tight because of scarring alopecia. The person that did my hair didn’t do too bad in that respect. There is a language barrier (everyone speaks French) and I believe a lack of understanding about the simple style I was asking for. The place was not very clean as there was hair all over and no attempt to clean it. There was a young lady in there with small boho braids that was extremely unsatisfied with her results. She got it done the day before and came back for them to “fix it” to no avail. She was right, her hair did not look good. Overall, I do NOT recommend.

I'm excited to say I found my go to hair braiding hair salon, they are fast, the work is neat and all you need to do is show up with clean, washed hair and they got you even to the braiding hair made my day this was my first time but it will not be my last. I put on a movie that was 1 and 45 mins and that's how long it took for large knotless braids and you'll still have you day to do things thanks lady's you guys are awesome.
