I recently visited AW Beauty Salon with my son, and we had an exceptional experience. We both received haircuts, washes with a scalp scrub, and a relaxing mini-massage. I also opted for a hair dye and beard grooming, and the results were fantastic. The service was outstanding, with special thanks to the owner, Mr. Asmamaw, who was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The salon’s atmosphere is bright, warm, and impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and inviting environment. They even have a dedicated ladies’ section and a sauna in the back, which was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend AW Beauty Salon for their top-notch services and professional care. I love this place! The staff is incredible, and Joseph is an amazing hair stylist. He truly cares for your hair, and the prices are affordable. If you're looking for a great place to get your hair washed, flat ironed, or set, AW Beauty is the place for you. It's conveniently located across the street from Safeway and is one of the best places to get your hair done in the Silver Spring community I call home. 😍

The barber completely ignored me. He didn’t even ask what kind of haircut I wanted, and when I told him, he did whatever he felt like instead. The taper was messed up and the fade looked horrible. He even asked if I wanted a lineup — I said no — and then two minutes later he gave me one anyway. On top of that, a few days later my scalp started itching and I had bumps, which makes it pretty clear his tools weren’t clean. This was a terrible experience from start to finish.

I had a very disappointing experience at AW Beauty Salon just moments ago. I walked in for a quick touch-up and noticed two barbers were present; one was free, and the other was busy with a client. When I asked the available barber if he cuts hair, he simply said “no” and pointed to his colleague who was already occupied. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes. Then another customer walked in, and as the busy barber was finishing up, the one who had previously refused to take me suddenly asked me to sit so he could cut my hair. It was clear that he only did so because the new customer chose the other barber, leaving him with no choice but to take me.
