The atmosphere at Avalon Salon is always great — everyone is friendly, welcoming, and the place has such a nice vibe. They’re always very punctual, which I truly appreciate. Special shoutout to Olga for her professionalism and amazing haircuts. Highly recommend!

I don’t know where to even start. Ok I went to another salon very close to Avalon & had my color completely destroyed as well as damaged. After that horrible experience I called a friend of mine & she recommended Rei for color correction & I’m so happy with the outcome. His first priority was not damaging my hair any further so he did low lights and colored my base to get rid of my orange roots. Honestly although my end goal is to go blonde again this was an amazing solution & depending on how my hair looks on the next visit he’ll gradually start doing highlights to get to the desired look I’m aiming for but as he said it’s important to be mindful of getting my hair healthy again before adding blonde. He also did a great job with my trim and blowout. They have a new loyal customer in me. T

Avalon is the place to go! It's cozy, quiet, with personalized and experienced service from the owners. In my case, I have naturally straight fine hair and wanted it wavy/curly. I've been getting perms for decades so I know what I want and need, but my prior hairdresser of 30 years retired. I found out that not many salons in the Gables even do perms, and those that do want an initial "consultation" first. I checked around, called some places I did not use. When I called Avalon, I confirmed they do perms (no consult), got an appointment, and got it done. Rei did an amazing job on my perm. He assessed my hair, listened to my needs and my experience with perms (my hair loves them) and then did an excellent job with the perm and cut it into shape. Reasonable pricing too - in Coral Gable

I have been going to Avalon Salon for at least 15 years and surprised I haven’t written a review. Tina has always been consistently excellent with my cuts and color. She is good at making recommendations at what would look best. The entire team is friendly and I am happy to have found Avalon Salon.
