Authentic African Hair Braiding

I would give 0 if I could!! Word of advice for anyone who gets their hair braided : DO NOT use “ Authentic African hair braiding “ in lufkin located at 1001 Lee avenue. The owner did braids on my hair which I let her know were for my birthday a present from my husband. She told me she could do it ( my hair is growing out but still feasible to braid) . No more than 3 days after having it done I start losing several braids in the back. I called her and let her know she said that I can call and tell her when I can come have her fix them. ( I live almost an hour from her shop). I called this past Thursday and scheduled for this morning at 8:30 am. I get there and she’s not there I then call her at 8:36 am and she tells me she’s in Houston and she’s tired to come back tomorrow. I tell her I can

The only reason it has 1 star is because it was required to make a review. I was totally unsatisfied. She did however attempt to fix the problem. But, instead of telling me she couldn't execute the style fronlm the picture I showed her, she redid it... STILL MESSED UP... Then she agreed to give me a refund, but when I went back, she took my hair down and didn't give me all of my money back. Definitely won't be going back there... Rude and unprofessional!!!

Mona braided my hair very well. It’s neat and clean and the parts are clean and straight. I have very unmanageable hair and she braided it like a pro. I set my appointment for 9am and we got started right away. No one was ahead of me and she was very professional. Also she wasn’t on the phone the entire time in my ear like other places.

Unreliable! The 1st appt that we had she missed because she decided last minute to go to Houston for Memorial Day weekend. 2nd appt I get there on time and had to wait an hour and a half for her to finish a walk-in then while in the middle of my appt took another client because she double booked. 3rd appt she refused to give my a quote on how much she charges for med box braids, just told me be there the following morning at 830 am, of course I get there and another woman is waiting with the exact same appt time and she wasn't even there, she had a sign on the door that said that she was on vacation. Never again.

If I could give less stars I would I called october 6 to make an appt to get my hair down for my birthday for Saturday if I wouldn't have called to confirm my appt I would have never know that they could not do my hair. I never received a phone call to cancel or reschedule plus I had already taken my hair down. This establishment is very unprofessional I do not recommend any one to get their hair done here because they will have you looking crazy. And the prices are outrageous
