Aunty African Hair Braiding

Aunty always does a great job. She works with you to ensure you get what you want. I like that she looks at your hair and makes sure that the style you want is appropriate. Rarely do you find a business like this that doesn't just collect the money and braid. She is into hair care. She makes sure the client's style won't damage their hair or scalp. I always come back.

A friend of mine convinced me to go to her shop she gets her hair done at, which was Aunty African Hair Braiding. This was my first and definitely last visit! So many things went wrong here. Soon as we sat in the seat I can say maybe 20 mins. into getting our hair done Aunty which is the owner walks up to my friend and says PAY ME NOW I looked and instantly was upset. That was rude how she asked and we just sat down I couldn't believe how rude this lady was. I said to my friend "why do we pay first"? It shouldn't be that way. I wanted to get up and leave then but didn't. As I was getting my hair done they were talking loud to each other (The braiders in the shop) in their own language the whole time. My stylist was on her phone half the time and she stopped many of time while she talked.

This women and her staff is like no other, when she give you a appointment it’s exactly your appointment. And they all are really quick and professional. And the shop is always clean. And smells fine.

WARNING : Ladies if you are looking to get your hair did PLEASE DO NOT go to this shop. They claim to be professionals but their work proves they ARE NOT. On july 25th 2018 I went to this shop to get my hair did for my upcoming graduation on the 27th. I showed the lady two pictures of the style that I wanted which was a sew-in weave. To make a long story short, when she got done with my hair, the middle of my head was really sore and tender and my hair looked Horrible. When I asked her about it she told me they don't style the hair they only sew the weave on and that I had to style it myself then she said the soreness will go away after 3 days but it never did. I had headaches and had to take painkillers. Also when I got home and tried to style my hair I noticed that she didn't even fill i

Just got some box braids Sunday and they did a very great job! I was in and out in 6 hours! The only thing I would say is they definitely need to CLEAN the shop! Mop the floors for Gods sake!
