I was referred to Amma by my surgeon who urged me to pursue a course of lymphatic drainage massage following my face and neck lift. I had three sessions a week for several weeks after my surgery, and it profoundly accelerated my recovery. I was unprepared for the amount of fluid that collected in my face and neck as a result of the procedures, and Amma's skillful and experienced work helped to reduce the swelling tremendously. But beyond her expert knowledge and skill, is her compassion. Surgery is anxiety-provoking, but Amma has worked with so many post-surgical patients that she was able to reassure me that my recovery was perfectly normal.
