Arizona Daily Star

An email came on 10/2/25 saying my digital newspaper was going up to $24.99 a month when my subscription ended. It ended on 10/2/25. I went on chat to cancel and I was given a $5 a month for a year rate. I declined. They kept pushing and I stood my ground. I then called and the same thing happened. I was asked all these questions than I told them I was going to Apple News. Then they confirmed my account was canceled and the rep laughed at me.

I'm paying more and getting less. Where are the national opinions I used to enjoy? I get more out of the NYT, once a week delivery, than I do from weeks of daily delivery from the Arizona Daily Star. The renewal process requires payment for the whole year at once and signs you up for auto renewal, unless you ask them to turn it off. Their online renewal process doesn't work unless you pay the full amount. You can't opt for EZpay monthly. I guess I need to look into the Tucson Sentinel.

Poor reporting by tim steller; the unsubscribe policy is terrible and they make it difficult to get out. Bummer for us tuscon folks, but will update when they fix it Thank you from your Tucson family 😎😇🙏

Can’t sign up online without autorenew and the rate if I call in is not quite double the online rate. Never mind. I guess I don’t need the paper after all.
