I had an awful experience getting my brows done here. The employee (whose name I unfortunately didn’t get) constantly complained about how overgrown my brows were, then completely butchered them — leaving only a thin streak of hair and uneven brows. On top of that, she left me with multiple cuts all over my brow area, which is still visibly swollen even an hour later. For a place with 4.7 star reviews, I expected better but the service I received is completely unacceptable. The fact that someone this careless and unskilled is allowed to work here says a lot about the hiring and training process, the management should do better. Welp, here we go. This was my 5th time at this location and typically things run smoothly every time I get a Brazilian. Yesterday, I went in for my regular wax since my ordinary spot was booked for the night. The lady was sweet, conversation went smoothly, blah blah right ? I have been a customer to arc beauty for many many YEARS at the fairlawn location. I was in the area so i decided to try montclair. Arc used to offer 10th wax free with card stamps but have changed to an electronic point system, and i had accumulated enough points to redeem my free wax. I was unaware of their policy that it had an expiration date, so upon checking out i was told i no longer had a free wax due to it being expired. I had told them i was unaware of this policy and if they could please just honor it this one time because i am pregnant and did not leave my house for 2 months as many mothers know how difficult first trimester can be.. one of those months being the month of expiration. WORST eye brow wax I’ve ever gotten. Just moved to the area and decided to give them a try. The woman was very displeased I wanted a wax instead of threading (I don’t thread bc it irritates my skin). She whipped my eye brows with the dry wax cloth. Didn’t use any solution to take off make up/ oils on the skin. She did not prep the area in any way at all and worst of all she didn’t even brush the eye brows to see where to place the wax. She pulled me by my hair to turn my head, I was highly offended by that. Then she threaded my eyebrows instead of tweezing any hairs left over. One eye brow is so much thinner than the other. I came yesterday for a clean up and told the lady I am growing them out and just wanted it shaped up. She almost took all the hair off, all the progress i made gone. I will never be back to this place. My brows haven’t been this thin since 2023. I didn’t realize the damage until i washed my face and seen how sparse they look which i am not used to. My eyes were still adjusting after she did it in the salon so i realized this later that night. I am so ANGRY!
