April's Salon

I had a horrible experience with Victoria. I highly recommend not coming to this salon. She left my hair streaky and did not do what I asked. She Cut my hair while I was standing up and while I was in the dark because there was horrible lighting in the salon and it took nearly 4hours to get highlights and a cut. She cut a huge chunk off of the front of my hair and left pink under tones. After 1 week, (with no washes) the color already grew out of my hair. She was on her phone, answered multiple phone calls, and showed up late to my appointment. Currently I am in Bozeman, Montana to get my hair redone because she would not give me a refund and I did not want her to touch my hair again.

I got my hair cut initially by Victoria and while I think it was a good haircut, it was a bit too blunt and I wanted more layers. They owners didn't hesitate to reschedule me to adjust the cut. I was rescheduled with Carrie Buss who did a fantastic job at adding more layers and evening out my cut. I would recommends both stylists, but if you have short hair or are thinking of going short, I would recommend Carrie. She has short hair herself and knows how to work those layers really well. Both were very professional, the salon is neat, clean and well spaced. I will be going to this salon again in the future.

I had my hair cut here several times. At first with Victoria then with one of the other two ladies who are the primary contributors here. Victoria wasn't very good, but I literally love across the street at 15th and Ford so I returned anyway. I was pleased when Victoria left and the other lady gave me a much better haircut. After returning from a trip to Asia with shaggy hair, I just went to ask for a slot. I was told by the other woman who didn't cut my hair that they were no longer accepting new clients. I reminded her that I had been several times already and live across the street, but she refused to give me an appointment. They don't want new clients and maybe just don't want to provide normal haircuts, so don't bother coming here. What was frustrating for me though was not honoring

First of all, April's is an adorable salon situated in a sweet old house in Golden. I just wanted a little more fringe and layers around my face and Victoria did an amazing job! The best part of all is the amazing prices! After years of overpaying for cuts and highlights, it is so wonderful to find a salon that offers outstanding service at reasonable rates. I found my new stylist and salon! Highly recommend!

I have been going to April to get my haircut for years. I go from long to very short with very drastic cuts/styles each time. Every time she listens to what I want and executes amazingly! Best is that she knows hair types and what will and won't work and will share the knowledge. Saved me from more than one bad haircut I'm sure. I always color as well and the prices are far more reasonable than most salons. Would highly recommend!
