Antidote Salon & Beauty Bar

I have had so many different experiences with different salons but this one has been the best for me. I first came to this salon just to get a cut and was so nervous because of how long my hair was. I made my appointment with Lotus. I spoke with her about what I was wanting to do. She understood and was very reassuring that she would take all the time I needed. It has been such a journey and I wouldn’t have chosen any other hairdressers or salon. I would recommend this salon to everyone I know who was looking for a great place to go. The vibes there are great. The other hairdressers are so nice. Over all it’s a great place to get your hair done.

I've been seeing Courtney for the past 3 years. Not very frequently. I do like her work, but not when it's rushed or not done properly... last time she left me very green and I don't like confrontation and I was very upset. Now, this time, I wanted a retouch on my highlights. It was a partial. The front looks good, but she didn't bleach the back part or some of the top pieces of my hair. It just looks a bit blotchy and rushed. I have uneven pieces and harsh lines. I do understand that it's hard working on my hair, especially because I have thick curly hair. Which is the reason why I come to her. But this is my last time I'd be seeing her.

I had the BEST experience here! I had been box dying my hair black or a dark cherry red for 2 years and was told by another stylist at a different salon my request for calico hair would only be achievable "over several sessions and several hundred dollars". She honestly made me feel like she didn't even want to do the service, and her verbiage made it sound like she was doing me a favor saying yes to doing my hair... Lotus made me feel the exact opposite (: she is super kind and knowledgeable in what she does. She quoted me a MORE than reasonable price for what i was asking, and even when the process took double the time than we had thought it was gonna take, she stayed true to her word and only charged me what we initially agreed on. She even let me throw the extra color on my eyebrows

EDIT to OWNERS RESPONSE: Her last line truly reveals the professionalism that this has been handled with and what we've faced since that day in the shop. The owner's response was exactly what I expected. I never demanded anything. I asked 2 questions 1 - extensions - it burnt her hair and shortened it significantly I wondered if that would be an OPTION - I was asking a professional. 2 - yes - i did ask for a wig... not even an expensive one. For as messed up as her hair was maybe there was something instead of just "DEAL WITH IT UNTIL IT"S BETTER". I was very direct and to the point because there was no accountability other than - just deal with it until your hair is better. Even if it's embarrassing to go out in public - too bad. I highly recommend Amy Crouch (of Antidote Salon) for wedding-day hair and makeup needs. Amy offers a variety of hair and makeup package options, and was also willing to customize her menu of services to meet our needs (1 bridal updo, 5 bridesmaids updos, 3 short hair styles). I’m so glad we decided to have her come onsite, as this made for a very laid back and low key time getting ready. While I did have some sample styles in mind, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted and Amy did a great job helping to translate my big-picture ideas into an actual updo.
