Four days ago I went for a wash and roller set but was told that my hair was too thick, so I got a blow. I asked for heat protectant but the spray was something else (I noticed after the fact.) Nonetheless, my hair was over processed and damaged. It smelled burnt. I washed my hair several times today and it still stinks. My healthy hair journey will have to start over. At least three inches will need to be cut as a result of the damage. I’ve heard stories about the Dominican salons and can say I have first hand knowledge of what they mean when they talk about how they over-process hair. I cannot recommend this place. Not to mention I was charged $60 when the website said $40.

Great place to go to take care of your natural hair. Shampooed, Deep conditioner, Blow out, and Flat Ironed. For $60 dollars.

yea I would put zero if I could i first asked if there was any English speakers so that the language barrier would not cause any mishaps there was so I told them what I wanted and they referred me to another lady. Showed her the exact picture and emphasized that I wanted that but long since my hair was long to my waist. She said she understood and repeated back to me that I want it long still first thing she did was cut it short. My hair is chest length… that makes no sense. I also said i did not want to use any heat tools (I didn’t want my hair blown out since I did not want to damage it)she said she would dry it a little bit just so it wasn’t so wet, by this point I was over it since she already cut it way too short and I said ok. I was a little unsure at first—this spot used to be Lusvianca’s and recently changed to VIP, and I’d seen some mixed reviews. But I decided to give it a shot anyway, and I’m glad I did. My hair was super brittle and dry when I walked in, but I trusted the process. I got a deep conditioning treatment, a blowout, and a trim. The stylist was super thoughtful, asked all the right questions, and made sure to confirm how much I wanted trimmed—always a good sign! I walked out feeling pretty and refreshed. Only thing I’d suggest is maybe adding a coat rack for convenience. Other than that, I had a good experience.

Probably won’t go back. $140 for a relaxer, I’ve never had to pay that anywhere else and it wasn’t even virgin hair. Overpriced for no reason.
