Amy's Exotic Braids

Absolutely HORRIBLE. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. THIS IS MY HAIR AFTER 1 week and two days. The lady that did my hair didn't tuck my hair well enough and the hair they used was dirty. As you can see my scalp is RED because it literally felt like it was on fire for a whole week. When I called about my hair hoping for it to be fixed or a refund in return the owner only offered to fix half of my hair which doesn't make any sense because my WHOLE HEAD IS MESSED UP. I asked for a refund in return and she said no. When I went the shop to confront her respectfully they (her & her employees ) all ganged up on me. Her customers on the other hand were agreeing with me and telling them that they were wrong. Never again!

I have been coming to Amy since I was 14 years old. Her and her colleagues work have always been neat and precise. She always does the style the way I want without any discrepancies. Every time I get my hair done I get so many compliments and refer others to her shop. Don’t be deceived by others reviews you have to try the shop out for yourself. You won’t regret it. I also give her service 5 star

do not believe these reviews at all. if you want quick professional braids for a reasonable price this is the place. the reviews cant be true because i got my hair done there and every second someone was walking in!!! they stay busy

I went here to get my cornrows done. They didn’t come out to my liking but when I asked to have her take it out and restart she tried charging me double. She redid my hair 3 times and she kept making it look worse each time and again CHARGING DOUBLE. Do NOT recommend unless you’re trying to get your hair done last minute. Never going there again. If I could give this 0 stars, trust me, I would.

Amy salon is one of the worst salons I’ve ever been to and experienced in the DMV. I would not recommend this salon to my worst enemy. They are very argumentative and unprofessional!. They tried charging me extreme high prices and if you go Inside the place is a mess and needs an extreme makeover. The stylist had there kids running all around the customers. The braids that I received look terrible. I hated how it looked but I didn't feel like arguing with them so I just dealt with it and I would never be going back here ever again!. Do not go here take my word for it. I’m not even the person to write reviews but just felt that the world should know the experience I had here.
