Amy African Hair Braiding

My girlfriend had the worst experience at this salon. First, they overcharged her. She went in at 10am and didn’t leave until 7pm. I was seated waiting for her when I saw the braiders sharing the hot water they dip clients’ hair. She also noticed that they’d let learners or inexperienced braiders braid the clients at the back and let more experienced ones braid the front parts which is unfair considering the prices they charge. The amount of wax they smear on your head is another annoying thing. Wouldn’t recommend.

They overcharged a 13 year old. parts are crooked, back not caught ,and braid on the left is all the way messed up looks like gel was just caked on for 50$ and they charged her 55$

I’ve been coming to Amy’s African Hair Braiding for almost 2 years now. I’ve always left satisfied and with a great fulfilled experience. All of the ladies are very nice and attentive. They also move very fast and get you in and out. It only took them 2.5 hrs to do small boho butt length knotless on me. I highly recommend you come and get your hair laiddd!!

I drove from Cleveland on 2/15/2026 to get my hair braided based on the work I seen from another person that went here for service. I called prior to that day and asked the price I was quoted 2 different prices. Also she was running a special $20 off until the 15th. The first phone call I asked if it'll be the $20 off and she said yes. Anyway fast-forward to the day, in my mind I remembered the last quote was $150, so now I finally areive and the lady at the front asked me what I was getting. I told her knotless only long enough to make a ponytail she said it'll be $180. I said no that's not what Amy quoted me. She said I'll call her so she did. It’s amazing, they really know what they’re doing! The service was excellent, very professional, and welcoming. My braids came out neat, beautiful, and exactly how I wanted them. They took their time and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Amy African Hair Braiding to anyone looking for quality work.
