Customer Reviews
I don't normally make reviews and I have been coming here close to 10+ years now. They really need to double check the quality of their new barbers. The last 4 times I came here, all with different Barbers I have received sub-par or even down right bad cuts. I came in today and the guy cutting my hair removed a solid centimeter of hair while touching up my ears. I have never had a barber do that to me, to the point where I don't usually have to double check that area, my fault. They do have good barbers here. But to caution anyone coming do NOT take the first open Barber. I used to be able to walk in and know that whoever is open was good but that is no longer the case unfortunately. The bad ones are always open because they take 10-15 minutes to cut your hair. I'll come again next year on
My son really enjoyed his haircut by Andrew! His first haircut at 4. He won’t stop talking about how good of a job he did lol. Great vibe great cuts.
Tell me why I go here and SAY “im growing my hair out man so i just want the side to be tapered and top just from ends “ and show a picture with exactly what i want and this guy gives me a shitty mullet that made me look like a 10 yo that got a mullet because his mom forced them to . I loved amstel and came here couple times throughout this year but guys like him that listen to you for 1 second and give you the most absurd cut they know how to give and let u go. Didnt even taper the side just did 1 lenght the whole time. Not recommended. Grew my hair out for 1 year and half of it is gone. AND THE FRONT LOOKS LIKE A BOWL CUT .
Have had at least 4 different barbers there and not one has ever asked me a single question, including my name, how I’m doing, or what I do for work or fun. Sometimes they’ll talk over you to each other, and one guy just tells you extensively about himself. Small talk used to be a barber’s tool of the trade, now all they can offer is a generic haircut. Not sure if this is indicative of the nonexistent manners in society, the Gen Z stare, or if this place just has bad energy, but it’s a pretty unwelcoming place. Totally devoid of personality in pretty much every way and totally utilitarian. And everyone seems to just be a mercenary, not an employee, with no stake in the place. Haircuts have all been fine.
Worst experience. Tried couple of times of but same mistake every single time. Couldn’t follow simple instructions, told him not to trim the mustache too thin and keep it broad but he had to use his trimmer and make the same mistake again. Bro talk less with your colleagues and pay attention to your customers.
