American barbershop

Armando at American Barbershop is the real deal. Super professional, quick, and friendly. I was in the chair and out the door in about 30 minutes with a clean fade and lineup that came out perfect. The shop is easy to find right off Fredericksburg Rd & I-10 in Beacon Hill. Price was great too — only $35, which is rare these days. I went because a picky friend of mine swears by him, and now I see why. Glad I finally found a barber I can trust. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here many times for a cut. Mando cuts hair really nice, and he is fast, plus the price is great. There are sometimes long waits because there are only two guys here, but what can you say- the cuts are nice. Good atmosphere too. Not like other barbershops where they have inappropriate pictures and music. They usually have some good country music on.

Walked in around 12:45pm with no wait on Thur. Mando did an excellent fade and straight razor trim for only $20. Will be my Go To neighborhood barber from now on. 07/26/24 UPDATE I continue going to Mando because he’s is a fantastic and consistent barber.

Great professionals... people would come from far to get their cuts here, if that tells you something. I come from 25 minutes away every month to get the BEST haircut I’ve gotten in San Antonio, hands down! It’s affordable, and they take their time in their craft, which is awesome, because I’ve never felt rushed or half-done. I’ve tried at least 10 different barbers since 2015 and NONE get to the level of these two gentlemen here... NONE! Also the atmosphere is great, and the Pandora playlist they have is A+. Totally recommended!!

This was my first visit to this barbershop and I had the best experience. They did an excellent job, a perfect haircut, trimmed my beard as a courtesy and tried to charge me $20. I personally disagree because that is too cheap for professional barber. They're a small neighborhood barber shop and they're absolutely wonderful. I am easily too picky too often and am happy to not only recommend them, but I feel that they will be a permanent fixture in my life going forward. Don't forget to go up the street and grab some kolaches from Bexar kolache if you happen to be there before 1:00 daily.
