Ama Hair Braiding Salon

I always have a wonderful experience when I go to Ama Hair Braiding Salon. There's only one lady that I go to, to have my hair done. I have been going there for over a decade now, and when I need my hair braided, or a sew in, and now just the other day I had Faux Locs crocheted in, Ama is where I go. I am always very happy when I leave there. There's no other braiding salon that I will go to, as the technician that does my hair is fast, doesn't braid your hair so tight that it's being pulled out, and is very professional. And their prices are very reasonable as well. So on that note, I highly recommend Ama Hair Braiding Salon to anyone who is looking to have their hair braided, a sew in, or crocheting done. And the plus side is, you won't be sitting there for hours on end waiting for you

Overall nice people, clean place, very fast with braiding and awesome price .... but I was not happy with how tight my hair was. Reason being is because I went to the one in East Orange and didn't have that problem. I also was not happy about the middle of my hair once I saw how it was poorly braided I have fuzziness of hair sticking out all over 😠😠😠 and I just got my hair done last Saturday March 28, 2017 and my edges are already coming out, and with my braids being so tight I would not be expecting them to come out so soon or look how they do in the middle.. (wish I could post a pic). So would I recommend this place yea ... but make sure you check your braids before paying and leaving the shop.

I came to this shop for the first time on Monday.. There was only one lady braiding and another finishing up so the wait was a bit long but it winded up being worth every moment that I waited. The two ladies worked fast - one starting the style and the next one finishing off the braids so they next client could get their hair started. My Mom, my daughter, and myself all got our hair braided and are in Aruba getting tons of compliments.

I asked for the size braids I wanted she told me the price and I was fine with it but then she made the back bradis so big that I can only wear my hair down. I don't like that. It like you are cheating me by not giving me what I'm paying for. In addition to that the style did not match the picture I showed and the hair was like wool and is itchy. Every time I go there the servces get worse.

In and out in 2 to three hours for Sanagalese twist. Only 100 with or without hair. Never go on a Saturday because she short staff and sometimes only one person works. Goddess braids she doesn't do well I go to another shop for that
