Alux Spalon

I have been going to Alux for a couple years now. Melanie was my stylist until she recently went on maternity leave (yay for her!) Brenda has stepped in to handle my hair needs in the meantime and now I even go to get my nails done. I love going here. It's such a relaxing place for me and I enjoy talking with the girls. Prior to moving my patronage to Alux, I went to several stylists throughout the valley. I thought I found a stylist at Tullio, but after a few appointments where I did not see or feel much of a difference, and my last one where I felt like I was being treated like a tourist, I decided no more. I proceeded to try a few more salons before landing on Alux. I'm glad I did. Brenda and Melanie are the best!

I had an appointment booked today at 4pm and was called by the stylist at 2:30pm asking if I could come earlier because her other clients had canceled. I explained that I was in Aspen Village and could not get back until 3:30pm. She said that was fine and she was” just checking”. At 3:30pm, literally when I was just about to go over, I received another phone call from the receptionist saying the stylist had an “emergency” and needed to leave and asked if I could come tomorrow. When I expressed how unprofessional this felt, the receptionist was unaware the stylist had just called me 30 minutes earlier. This was handled unprofessionally and showed a lack of respect for a client’s time. I will not be returning.

Do not book!!!!! I scheduled a manicure in person for 3pm. I then received a booking confirmation for 330 which got rescheduled to 4 without them asking me if it was OK or worked for me. When I reached out and told them 4pm didn’t work, the woman showed zero empathy, understanding or apologies. She mentioned that someone booked online so they bumped my appointment. Overall a very poor customer experience. I did get a pedicure at another date/time and strongly believe it’s nothing special for the price they are charging. Save your money and go anywhere else for an appointment. They’re rude & charge way too much for an ordinary service and showcase a sincere lack of empathy.

Have been going to Maria for years for cut and color. She books up months in advance, so book early. My teenage sons now get their haircut at Alux too - Melanie is great.

Friendly staff, but my nail appointment started 30 minutes late and took so long that when we moved on to my finger nails I asked her to skip the massage and good stuff because we were running so late. It was the worst looking gel manicure I have ever received (edges not cleaned up, uneven coat) and it was for my wedding. I would definitely not recommend my particular person. My mom had a good experience with a different person.
