I really wanted to love Alter Ego Salon, but my experience there was awful from start to finish. I went in expecting a relaxing, quality service, but instead, I left feeling frustrated, undervalued, and honestly a little shocked at the state of the place. For the price they charge, I expected a much higher level of expertise. My haircut was rushed and uneven, and the color didn’t turn out the way I asked. To make matters worse, it started fading just days after my visit, which tells me the products or techniques they’re using just aren’t up to par. The salon itself was a mess. There was hair everywhere from previous clients, which was honestly off-putting. I could also see dust and grime on the counters and styling stations. I had an extremely unpleasant experience at Alter Ego Salon. The place was dirty, with a strong fishy odor throughout, making it really uncomfortable. The staff was rude, especially "Brittney," who seemed more focused on flirting with my boyfriend than doing her job. Brittney, who goes by "Updo Queen," spent the whole time obsessing over my boyfriend instead of providing quality service. We had to laugh because it turned out that the smell was actually coming from Brittney herself. Definitely not a professional environment, and I won’t be coming back.

I have been coming to this salon for a few years now. Brittney is wonderful and always flexible with scheduling my appointments… even those last minute ones. I no longer live locally but still make the drive to be serviced by her. Highly recommend this business.

I’ve been coming here for my nails for almost two years (since I will follow Joey Lin wherever she goes.) Brittany, the new owner of the salon has done such an amazing job with renovating and trying to grow her business. The vibe is great here-I may even start coming for hair ;).
