Almaden Barbers

The guys who work here are all very easy going, friendly, and welcoming. For first impressions, I have been to countless different barber shops, and it is fairly common to be ignored when you walk in the door for whatever reason, but here everyone says hi to you and smiles when you enter. The place itself is also homey, comfortable, and clean. Prices for a men's cut are $25, which is now well on the lower end of the spectrum (especially if it isn't a Vietnamese-run type place). I have usually seen James Do, and he takes his time on your hair. Technical skill isn't top-tier, this isn't the kind of place you go to for a tight fade. Unfortunately, with my busy schedule lately I haven't had time to make the forty minute round-trip over there and took a chance coming to Almaden Barbers as they're only five minutes from the pad. Here's a little TLDR action: Location- Not too far deep in The 'Den and in a nice strip mall that includes a sushi joint, Middle Eastern grocery store and one of my new favorite places to eat Mo's. Completely messed up my hair. I asked for an extremely simple zero to one fade on the sides with longer on top. She gave ONE of my sides a zero to one fade, and made the other side have literally no fade and made it zero all the way up until where its parted because it "looked like that's what the last barber did." That doesn't even make sense. Terrible service, highly discourage anyone from going here.
