Alice African Hair Braiding

Listen, I will be escalating my complaints to State authorities because clearly this business has predatory practices and unethical acts. I will never invest a penny in this business in the future. Absolutely horrible, morally concerning, and simply unprofessional. Last year I had my hair braided twice at this salon. Both times I was clear that I needed two braiders to start and finish my hair together. In January 2025, it took almost 6 hours to have my hair done because the 2nd braider was hours late. I was quoted $230, but expected the price to be reduced since the service didn't equal what was provided .I also left crying and in extreme pain because the service took so long. In May 2025, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were having an off day. I paid in advance

I’ve been maybe 5 times and only once have they ever did my hair the way I wanted it ,, or asked for. Last time I was there I asked for MEDUIM knotless box braids,, Alice did them EXTRA small and they just looked so ugly ! I only had them in for 2 DAYS before I took them out ! 250$ WASTED ! I found a better hair bradinf just around the corner PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE ,, trust me there’s is better !

I called a day before to schedule a blow dry and trim. When I arrive, she turns me away and says "you must've talked to someone else, come back at 12". I come back at 12 to the same answer. Then she laughs while she turns me away again. Go to Jas It Up, a few blocks away for a great salon / braiding place. Not this junky dump.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would … now where do I began… Alice had me wait 30 mins after the scheduled time… 2 I showed her a inspiration photo and asked her if she could do it she said YES ALICE DID NOT DO MY HAIR HOW I WANTED IT SHE DID WHATEVER SHE WANTED TO AND STILL CHARGED ME 250 for some FREAKING SMALLL KNOTLESS BOX BRAID !!! I ask for MEDIUM ! Now I won’t lie it did came out very cute but it’s the principle of it all !!! If you couldn’t do what I asked let me know I would have went else where !! …. How ever the hair Came out cute got lots of compliment I won’t knocked this women work she does a great job I just wish she had more respect for her paying customer and provide service they actually want

Had Alice do my hair, she was quick but maybe too quick. She gave me knotted braids when I wanted natural looking knottless, and made the box braids super thick. Then to top it off she cut my real hair and charged me 120$. Will not be coming back here.
