Alice African Hair Braiding

I went to Alice’s salon last night after calling in the afternoon asking for an appointment. She said I could come the same night and I wound up arriving at 6pm. After my consult it took about 10 minutes before two women began working on my braids. It took 7 hours to finish my style. Throughout the entire service everyone was extremely nice. I had to use the bathroom several times and they had no problem letting me get up to do so. At some point the owner asked me where I parked my car and advised me to move so I didn’t get any tickets. Which was very thoughtful. I am extremely satisfied with my service. And am happy I do not have to travel all the way to the city to find a salon that can provide this service and in such a timely manner. I will definitely return and recommend them to other

*Zero Stars* I came to get my hair done and provided my own hair my hair was not done correctly or finished when I left. I did tell the owner on numerous occasions I would say at least 5 or 6 times that my hair wasn’t being done correctly as I was getting my hair done even showed them the pics. Alice assured me it was. I Got there at 3:30pm and didn’t leave until 8:30pm. When I complained about my hair she claimed my hair was too thick which was a lie. And that if I take out my hair that the lady who did my hair wrong can do it over tomorrow. I explained to her that wasn’t happening i have a job. Fast forward to today I went to Alice shop to get the remaining of my hair because I paid for it an left it last night she then told me I took the hair with me I told her that wasn’t true and i n

I went to Alice’s hair salon to get my braids done because my stylist was unavailable and I couldn’t wait. I had a horrible experience, first the salon was cold and I had my coat on the entire time. It took about 8 hours to complete my braids and the entire time she was either on her phone video chatting or talking to the other stylist. They were talking loudly and yelling in a language I did not understand. The worst part is how tightly she pulled my hair. I asked her 3 times not to pull my hair so tight and she said it was because I have natural hair. I paid her $160 yet I had to uninstall the braids the next day because of how tight they were. She Does not listen to customers need and very unprofessional. I have been bracing my hair forever and never had such an awful experience.I wou

She is great at single braids but her parts is a hit or miss. Calm person and listens to her costumer. I would definitely go back to her. She will do a good job but might need a little guidance. The braids are ok. As for the kids I'm a mother so I don't mind. I rather her have them there then some where else, they don't get in her way. If her daughter help is even better the faster I'm out. The talking on the phone I don't care. She is not my psychologist I'm not there to talk. As long as she does a good job, talk away.

If I could give no stars I would. Alice and her other braiders are very, very unprofessional. She stopped braiding my hair to work on not 1 but 2 other people's heads. Also she has her 2 daughters 14 years old & 18 years old helping to braid my hair, then another lady helped after they stopped braiding my hair. Then she took over an hour to eat. Alice is rude and she doesn't even talk to you as she's braiding your hair. They all speak loudly in your ear to each other in French and ignore there customers. Also Alice is a sloppy braider and her parts are crooked. Alice has no concern or experience in how to properly comb, part or what hair care products to use on customers hair. This shop is a dirty, stinky hole in the wall. Beware they hate us and only want our money!!! I can't make this s
