First time here just to get simple box braids and honestly should’ve just spent the extra $10 and go to Harlem to my regular place. The quality of work and technique was not worth the price, no blow out, I even brought my own braiding gel for frizz control and the braids weren’t neatly done, the parts were uneven, I had to go back to get a few redone and still when I got back home I had to be redoing some of the work I just paid for.

Braids look nice I give her that but she was very lazy. She did not braid my box braids all the way to the end but dipped them in hot water. I asked for small and got medium infact small braids in the back and medium in the front. Bring your own hair. They will try to use old raggedy left over hair if you don't say nothing but talking about hair included in price.

I asked kindly for one of the hair stylist to blow out my niece hair some more so the hair can blend in more with her 4c hair texture. The last kissed her teeth and ignored me then proceeded to talk badly about my niece hair to her coworker next to her. Her coworker then translated and claimed that my niece hair was “too natural” to blow dry more(mind you all they did was have the blow dryer on low and ran it through my niece hair), the lady then exclaimed for me to send my niece to the Dominicans so my niece hair can be straight. All I asked for was a simple request and they denied it rudely with a lot of ignorance. They behaved as if 4c is not good hair(they all had 4c hair too which confused me) and tried to call her hair nappy. If you can’t handle hair that’s “too natural” stop doing h

I called after leaving another shop and was taken right away to the chair no appointments, tight braids, not a long time spent in the chair. I meet a charming little girl who informed me that she gets free hair washes here.

If you’re a guy don’t come here, they will overprice you even if you barely have any hair and charge a professional price for an unprofessional job. Just stick to the family member/friend who knows how to braid.
