Mark didn’t have much to work with , but he made me look great!

9-8-23 Mark Armsworthy is a great guy. He cares about our small town. If you just need a trim or want it all gone.. this is the place. If you want to chat or have a good debate.. this is the place. Mark knows a good deal about sports, hunting, community events, and other topics. You might even run into a local celebrity or two. Advance Barbershop is very accessible and hospitable. Watch TV, read a magazine, or just chat while you wait. Children receive a small lollipop for visiting for a haircut (if parents allow). P.S. if you see Mark walking on Hwy 801 towards Advance, stop and give him a ride, please.

Just moved to Advance and decided to support the local barber. He had a customer in his chair, but no other clients. When I walked in, he totally ignored my presence — no hello, no welcome, no be with you in a minute. He didn’t even look at me, like I was invisible. The clincher for me is that he and his client talked about nothing except killing deer, bears, and other animals. After about 10 minutes I walked out without a word, and got the same in return. Maybe the silence was because I wasn’t a recognized local, but the shop lost out on a new customer.

Mark was great! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he delivered exactly what I wanted. The conversation was top notch and I'll definitely be back in a few weeks.

Awesome place, awesome barber. He is both a professional at what he does and always willing to talk to you. Unlike big companies he actually remembers you when you come back.
