Adja African Hair Braiding

I’ve been going to Adja for years and recommend her to everyone that asks! I drive two hours one way but its well worth it! Braids are sooo clean, perfect and even! Love it and them! Her family is amazing too, especially her sisters! Thank you all!

Parking was a bit tight but we found a spot. Adja is kind towards kids. Very kid friendly. A bit pricy given where i come from. But with her level of patience, it definitely makes up for the price she charges. The facility is a bit small so call or schedule your visit ahead of time.

After my girl vented to me about the horrible experience she had here. I will NEVER go here EVER in my life! Getting paid almost double the amount she was told AND not even doing the job correctly. SAD SAD & SAD! Customer satisfaction should be a number 1 priority not money. Because without customer satisfaction there is no money

This is for the Harlem location, ( 2472 B Fredrick Douglass Blvd. New York, NY 10027 ] When I first got there I had to wait about 30 mins when I thought I made an appointment with the owner via text about a week in advance. I told adja ( the owner ) and the braider that I wanted medium knotless braids, I have three different size boxes in my head. It was hot, no ac or no door open to let air circulate. Braiders & customers coughing and not covering their mouths. Hair all the over the place and nobody cleaning anything up. The hair that was being braided in my head kept falling on the floor and I had to keep reminding the braider to pick it up. It also smelt crazy in there I cannot lie and the heat ( NO AC ) made it worse. There was no organization, chairs all over the place, it was packed

I've been going here for years and never had to complain. My hair last long and doesn't break. I especially love when the owner does the front and sides of my hair she is very gentle. Until this day this is where i go to get my braids done..
