I booked a same-day appointment at Adam Broderick with an editorial stylist because my usual salon was fully booked prior to a trip. I went over the overall look I was looking for which is layers and a bit of long side bang. The stylist was quite dismissive and said the look won’t work for me if I mostly straighten my hair. I explained stylists have done at different salons and it came out pretty good, and she replied “well I’m not that stylist”. This should have been my que to leave as we clearly had different visions for my hair but felt awkward doing so. At the end of the haircut I asked if she did a layer in the back and she replied yes. I have been going to Caterina for over 5 years now, and she is by far the best colorist I have ever had. She is an expert, a true artist and knows not just the aesthetics but the science behind the color formulations. Any time I want to try something new, we discuss it, look at photos and she knows exactly what to do to give me the look I am going for.
