Abington Spa

I went there, for the first time and had a full-body, deep tissue massage. Let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The atmosphere was welcoming. The setting in the massage room as perfect! There was no back-ground noise from any of the other activities taking place in the salon. (Haircuts, manicures, pedicures, etc.) Abigail, my massage tech, was very in-tune with what she was doing. Anyone who knows me, knows my mind never shuts off. Let me tell you, it did that day. After the massage was over, I was not rushed out the door. I was actually handed a cup of Chamomile tea and told to have a seat on the couch and relax for a bit. It was a huge reminder of how important self-care really is. I am looking forward to going back.

Abington Spa is my favorite place to go & get pampered. I have gotten multiple services from massage (where Victoria gave me nutrition advice that truly changed my life) to a microdermabrasion facial that was great….to getting my hair cut & colored here. Laura is simply amazing!!! The whole place has great vibes & I just laugh the entire time I am there! The hair though….I just got my hair blown dry today after a root touch up & Laura used no heat & my hair looks amazing!!! And other than the customer service & everyone being super friendly & fun, the prices are so reasonable. They don’t try to take advantage of people & I really appreciate that. Highly recommend!!! Went there for the first time a few months ago. Had a pretty good experience and followed up recently for a second appointment with the same stylist I had the first time. I don't know who the person who answered the phone was but RUDE. I didn't book an appointment and decided to book with another Salon in Scranton. So rude. I'm shocked that a service industry would have someone like that answering the phones and so unhelpful. Not going back. Truly feel sad for the stylist. They are trying to build/maintain a book a business while the person answers the phone is undermining those efforts. Salon services seemed good overall but if you’re looking for a relaxing environment and with professional staff this sadly isn’t the place.

I’ve had two massages now at Abington spa one with Victoria one with Kayla they were both amazing and I can’t wait to go again!

I usually love this place - the atmosphere is serene and peaceful. Nice attentive staff; however there is a new masseuse and she is terrible. Her name is Lisa - she has 0 experience in massage. How can I tell? Well, she did not ask if pressure was fine, she did not even apply pressure and the area I asked for attention on was disregarded. Like I said, this place usually is great but now I am starting to wonder if they require any accreditation at all - I literally left wondering why I paid for such terrible service. I will not return. Normally, I get deep tissue but I promise all she did was lube my body up with oil. I was going to try and book my bridal party here but I will be looking for a new place. Save your money or at minimum stay away from bookings with Lisa
