A Shear of Joy

Yay!🎉 Just moved here from Chicago and had to find new "Everythings"! Search no further!! My first attempt to find a new salon didn't turn out so well but luckily I found Rita on my second attempt and am able to check off my search for all my future hair cut/color needs! Rita took the time during our consultation to listen to my concerns and selected the perfect "recipe" to cover my nasty gray outgrowth! We decided highlights were not necessary just yet, (when she easily could have just done them and charged). Next came the cut! The cut was perfect! I was concerned it would be too short, due to my last haircut at another salon...but Rita listens...takes her time and is truly a professional! Come to find out, she's also the owner! I'm so happy...my search is over! Looking forward to going b

Nichole did excellent work- trimming the exact amount and cut beautiful curtain bangs just like I requested. Nichole is so sweet, kind and understanding, I will definitely be back!

Rita is so skilled and knowledgeable. I had distrust for hair salons because my last haircut at a different place was terrible. But Rita made me feel heard and comfortable. She gave me EXACTLY what I asked for and made my hair look cohesive and beautiful again. Thank you, Rita! I will be coming back and bringing my mom too!

Called to speak to the owner who I was told does amazing hair ! And I am so sad and disappointed by her employee who answered the phone she was so rude and nasty and when I asked for her name she wouldn’t tell me she then just left me on the line. I asked for the owners email to address the situation and got no response just completely ignored and hung up on. She also said the owner was busy with a clients hair so this means the owner watched and heard her do all of this . I will be asking my cousin who this rude woman was and report her and the company of i dont find out her name to the hair board. If someone lets there employees treat people this way then this isn’t the environment I encourage anyone to be in. Horrible customer service. The woman who answered refused to tell me her name

Rita thank you I love my hair I got highlights and cut great experience. Rita is the owner and stylist she friendly, professional does her best to listen to what you want and guide gently to what is best for your hair. She also did my Grandson's hair he got a perm and cut turn out fantastic, he was more then happy and he's very picky about his hair. So recommend A Shear of Joy by Rita if your looking for a quality place to get your hair done.
