A Gentleman's Haircut

I’ve been here three or four times, and every visit has been disappointing. The person who usually cuts hair here is barely friendly, I don’t expect much, but at least a hello would go a long way. The only reason I kept coming back is because a simple buzz cut usually came out okay and is cheap. This time, I wanted something different just a bit longer nothing crazy and even brought a video of myself before with that hair to make it clear. He glanced at it for all of 2 seconds, didn’t ask me any questions, and just started buzzing it. The result was way shorter than what I asked for basically another buzz cut even though I specifically said I wanted it longer. I've been going here for about a month now and come regularly about once a week. Today will be my last. I asked for a head trim/cleanup with a neck shave and beard trim. I was baffled by the misalignment of my beard and missed blotches on my neck. I'm usually a quiet person, so I decided to just pay and leave. After getting to the counter I realized it was $6 more than usual, but again I kept quiet and paid the man. It's a shame I have to leave this place because every other time it's been nothing but a superb experience.

Excellent service. Both times I have patronized this establishment, I have encountered artisans. The precision with which they cut hair, and maintain a clean work area exudes professionalism. They ensured close cuts, employing a straight razor trim, and managing to keep my clothing hairless with extra wide neck tissues and the use of compressed air. I realize that to some, it may sound silly to comment in this fashion about a haircut, but I was impressed with the experience. I respect perfection of service in any field, and this is no exception. These gentlemen are rare barbers. They appear to care about the quality of their work product as much as I care about mine… if you’ve never seen a unicorn, look no further.

It’s under different ownership now. “Tradiciones”… I was asked “how do you comb it” after my haircut was “done” - pretty terrible cut, matching no known style of any kind really. Gave instructions and examples too. Son just seemed like he didn’t want to be at work really. Hard to say for sure.
