A Cut Above the Rest

Hands down best salon in town!! The staff is very friendly and professional! All the stylists there has years and years of experience, they specialize in Balayages, Highlights, Lowlights, Babylights, perms, vibrant colors, Fades, beard trimming, facial waxing, lash lift and tints, eyebrow tint, hair extensions and to top it off they are the only Aveda Salon in town which is wonderful! Britni has being doing my hair nearly a year now. She does a great job, she is gentle on my head as my scalp is very tender do to an injury. I highly recommend Britni

Google says they open until 8pm. The door says walk-ins welcome. I walk into an empty shop at 7:30 for a simple trim and was told they took their last appointment at 7pm. I am in town occasionally, but I don't know when I'll have time for the barber. If you are in a similar situation, skip them.

They take their name seriously! Beware of cuts! My husband came in for a haircut, and the hair dresser ended up cutting/slicing across his neck with her clippers. As soon as the clippers touched him initially, he winced and said there was something really sharp digging into his neck. The hair dresser looked at the clippers and shrugged, then continued to make her way across until he leaned forward and said it was too painful to continue. She then told him she had dropped the clippers earlier and they may be broken. At the end of the haircut, his neck was bright red and speckled with blood. She apologized for cutting him so badly once he saw the damage in the mirror. We were still charged full price. This morning, his neck is scabbed and red. There seemed to be a competent hair dresser work

I was in town visiting family, and Emily was able to schedule me right in. The salon was very clean and professional, and Emily gave me a wonderful cut. She asked me about my lifestyle, how I wear my hair, etc. As a busy mom, I appreciated her taking the time to find the right cut for me. I am so pleased with the results!! This will definitely be a salon I revisit on my next trip to Michigan. (Sidenote: Tips cannot be added with credit card, bring cash if you'd like to tip. )
