My problem is with the $75 charge when getting a curly cut if you fail to follow the guidelines. I understand why they are there, and that it's to the customer's benefit to follow them for a better experience. I was excited and came in with my hair washed, detangled, fully dry, and in its natural state. I did use a detangler the night before, but thought it would be fine since I didn't use any styling products. Amanda explained to me that I had some product buildup, but continued with the dry cut, and then wash and style. She did not tell me she would be charging me the extra $75, and I only realized once I paid at the end. A $200 haircut seems extremely excessive when I got a dry cut, wash, and then styled. I can't say enough good things. Emily cut my hair for my first ever "curly cut." For the first time, I didn't leave wanting to go home and put my hair in a bun or straighten it. She took her time to also talk me through everything she was doing so that I could mimic this new hair lifestyle at home. The amount of knowledge she shared about how to care for my curls was mind blowing. Definitely gained a life long customer. Worth every dime and the 6 week wait. My curls hadn't been "pretty curls" in YEARS without the help of a curling iron. The pictures I'm posting are without using a curling iron or straighter.

I just stormed out of there! My hair had a slight dampness to it because I dared to take a shower before I came. I did not wash my hair. I happen to have it up in a clip because I had just gotten out of the shower so that I could be clean. I am the mother of a special-needs child who has not had a haircut in six months! All I wanted was a freaking haircut. I had scheduled to have my hair washed and styled and was going to pay over $200 for this haircut and she wanted to charge me an extra $75 to “reset“my hair before she cut it. What in the world? I just wanted a haircut! I was willing to pay a lot of money for it. I never get to get my haircut because I’m always doing things for my son. Do not go here.

I had my first curly cut with Amanda this past Saturday, and I can say, hands down, this is the most amazing haircut I’ve ever had in my entire life. I lost chunks of hair as a side effect of a surgery I had over a year ago, so my formerly voluminous curly hair was flat and didn’t have any shape to it. I had it cut by my regular hairstylist in my hometown back in December, but my hair still remained flat and my curls didn’t really bounce back like they used to. Amanda is an ARTIST and CURL DOCTOR because she cut my hair and gave it so much shape and volume and gave me the prescription to treat my hair with the proper type of products and in which order to use them in. I am currently using my old products, at least until they run out, and even using the techniques she taught me, my curls lo
