2nd Street Design Studio

I went into 2nd Street design studio today to have my hair cut. I was seated in Gabby's station. My instruction with photo was to have a pixie style but not too short. My hair is so short and I have never, not had a hair dresser offer me a mirror to see the back of my hair but she didn't. When I got home and saw the back I wanted my $20 tip back. This is the worst haircut I've ever had. I will leave photos. After the first posting of this review the manager called and asked me to go down so they could see the cut. I dropped everything and drove 35 miles round trip. She refused t give me the full name and state license number of the stylist Gabby. She said I got the cut I asked for and offered a free cut not to write anymore reviews. I declined. The first picture is the cut I wanted the res

Their website was very easy to navigate if I wanted to book a haircut as soon as the next day. I called in the morning to see if they had any availability for the same day, and the receptionist was able to fit me in with level 4 stylist Taylor. The salon is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. I will continue to get my hair cut here, and maybe try dyeing my hair sometime!

2nd Street is 2nd rate. Went in for perm. 3 days it was very slight wave at best. 2 weeks nothing. My natural light curls at the end of my hair that I had when i went in remained but no perm curls, sadly. Had a consult and style to 'show' me what 'product' can do. Slight end curls with diffuser but still no curls. Those were even gone before the diffuser was finished. The end result is I'm out $166 and no curls. A % off offer in a few months is the best they can do. I've heard great reviews but sorry and sadly, not my experience. Can't recommend .

First and foremost, Izzy was exceptional. This is a wonderful local studio with every service you'd expect. The decor is charming, well maintained, and it is staffed by people who care. They were able to get both myself and my sister in for a cut the same day we called for an appointment. As an individual with sensory issues and anxiety I was beyond pleased with my experience and even more so with my new cut. Izzy did a wonderful job on my hair, she gave practical recommendations for care, and all the while felt wholesome and welcoming. A slight detriment being that it felt exceedingly bright but the lights are there for a reason and I did not request anything different. I'm certain they would have worked with me had I broached the topic and it was not such short notice so I can't right

AMAZING! I saw Stacy and my hair was 1000000% better than I imagined! Make sure to book with her she is the bees knees!
